Minter Ellison opened its first international office in London in 1974, making us the first Australian firm 'on the ground' in London. Today, we have a leading team of senior lawyers – qualified in Australia and England & Wales – who work closely with Minter Ellison offices around the world to provide a single point of contact for clients in Europe with Asia Pacific operations or business interests.
We specialise in advising European-based clients in the key areas of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities, equity capital markets, financial services and banking and finance. A particular focus is advising European law firms and corporate clients on all aspects of Australian law – providing on-the-spot advice in their own time zone on specific issues or acting as Australasian or Asia Pacific counsel on multi-jurisdictional transactions. We advise European corporate clients on general corporate and finance work, Australian competition and regulatory law and on Australian tax and employment law issues.
